It’s Time to Sell Your Junk Car When These Signs Appear

Knowing when to sell your junk car is not as simple as it seems, but there are some signs that indicate the time has come.

Rust:  The most obvious indication that it’s time to sell your car is when it starts rusting. If you can see holes in the car, especially near the bottom, then you should sell it rather quickly. This typically happens if the car has been sitting around for a few years without being used.

Engine Problems:  If your junk car starts having issues with its engine, you should probably sell it fairly quickly. The issue may be minor, like the engine is overheating or starting to smoke when it runs. However, if your car is having major engine problems that involve fuel or oil getting into the cylinders, then this could end up causing some serious damage in the long run.

Bad Tires:    Don’t bother selling a car with bad tires. The issues will still be there once the new owner purchases it and they may even end up having to pay for some of the damages if you were negligent about the issues.

Missing Parts:  If parts of your car are missing, then you should probably sell it as soon as possible. It may not run as smoothly with certain parts missing, and it could even cause damage to the car if you keep driving it.
